Gauff cruises into Miami Open semifinals with win over Bencic

South Florida native and world No. 4, Coco Gauff, has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Miami Open after a strong performance against Belinda Bencic. She became the youngest American to reach the women's singles semifinals at the tournament since Serena Williams did so in 2004. Despite dealing with nagging injuries, Gauff managed to secure a 6-3, 1-6,6,0 victory over Bencid in two hours and 15 minutes. If she progresses, she would move ahead of Iga Swiatek and rise to No. 3 in the WTA rankings.
