Vegas dominates third period in 4-2 Game 1 victory

The Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Utah Mammoth 4-2 in Game 1 of their first-round series. The Golden Knights twice trailed before scoring three goals in the third period, including a goal from Nic Dowd and an assist from Noah Hanifin. The Mammoth lost their first playoff game since 2021. This marked the second time the team has lost in their second season in Utah after leaving Arizona. Despite the loss, the Golden Knights dominated the game, winning 52 hits compared to 29 for Utah. Game 2 is set for Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
