Two Tuscaloosa County Women Killed, Three Others Injured In Highway 43 Crash

Two women from Tuscaloosa County, Abigail G. Woods and Sierra N. Jackson, both 20 and 19, were killed in a head-on collision on Highway 43 near the entrance of the Cherokee Shores neighborhood. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed that Woods was driving a 2013 Ford Focus when it collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, which was driven by a teenager from Northport. The driver of the Silverado was injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The crash also resulted in debris from the collision which struck a 2002 Toyota Tacoma driven by Northport man.
