INXS to Receive Australia’s Ted Albert Award

INXS has been awarded the Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music. The award will be presented at the 2026 APRA Music Awards in Sydney on April 29. The band, which formed in 1977, has sold over 75 million albums globally and won numerous awards including five top 20 albums on the Billboard 200 and a No. 1 on the Hot 100 with "Need You Tonight". In the UK, INXS won six top 10 albums and received a BRIT Award for best international group. The awards are decided by the APRA board of writer and publisher directors.
