The operator of the Geraghty event venue in Chicago's southwest side is planning to open a second location in Glenview. The proposed five-acre site is located near 2100 Sanders Road and will host conventions, exhibitions, weddings, and corporate and social events. The Glenview Village Board has approved an ordinance allowing this second location to be developed. Plans include demolishing a three-story former office building and constructing a single-story, 30-foot-tall building with approximately 26,000 square feet of event space. The venue will have a maximum capacity of 540 people and an outdoor garden for guests. The application for this project was presented to the village stating that it would become a hub for celebration, connection and community growth.
