The Missouri Senate has unanimously approved a bill allowing pregnant women to divorce, allowing them to file for a divorce and not finalise their marriages. The bill, House Bill 1908, prohibits pregnancy status from preventing the court from entering a judgment of dissolution of marriage or legal separation. This change comes after the state House of Representatives successfully overturned a previous law allowing for the same reason. The legislation is now headed to the governor's desk.
