Republican City-County Councilor Michael Paul Hart is proposing a mixed-use redevelopment of Washington Square Mall in Indianapolis. The Washington Square Vision plan will be unveiled to the public following market analysis, a town hall, and input from tenants and the community. Hart aims to present ideas to develop all 100 acres, which includes parking lot space, to attract investors and developers. Washington Square mall General Manager Keith Lee supports the changes, stating that mixed use is a good thing for malls across the country and globally. The plan is set to be unveiled at the Warren Township School Administration building.
