The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has grounded Blue Origin's New Glenn rocket after it mistakenly transferred its payload to the wrong orbit during a launch. The rocket's upper stage failed to deliver a satellite belonging to AST SpaceMobile, which will be de-orbited as a result. The company confirmed that its second stage shut off its engines and was in a "coast phase" after reaching an "arentive" orbit. The FAA has grounded the New Shepard rocket for over a year in 2022 and has also grounded SpaceX's Starship and Falcon 9 following similar incidents.
