Georgia couple charged after dog found dead, starved with cloth in stomach

A Georgia couple, Andrew James Groncki and Megan Gibson, have been charged with animal cruelty and improper disposal of a dead animal. The charges stem from the dog's death, which was discovered after it refused to eat, lost weight, and showed signs of vomiting and diarrhea. Groncki admitted to not seeking medical help for the dog and said someone he met on Facebook was supposed to remove the remains. A necropsy revealed that the dog had been dead for three to five days and a cloth-like material was found in the stomach preventing proper digestion. If convicted, Groncki could face up to three years in prison and significant fines.
