ICE at JFK: Unmasked agents jostle with press in attempt to hide their faces as airport travelers express concern

ICE agents have been seen confronting press photographers at JFK Airport on the first day the Trump administration has sent them to airports to aid with processing travelers through security lines. The agents were spotted throughout every terminal at Kennedy Airport and clashed with journalists reporting on the implementation of the order. Some agents attempted to hide their faces, while others ran off running, shoulder-checking one photographer. The Port Authority issued revised filming clearance at its airports, allowing reporters and photographers access to document ICE agents. While some passengers expressed concern about the presence of ICE, others questioned its effectiveness and potential escalation of violence. The American Federation of Government Employees, which represents airport cleaners and baggage handlers, also expressed concern over the use of ICE.
