Arnell Washington, a Topeka veteran who served as an aviation electrician, has found a new role in the community after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Washington worked on all of the electronics on fighter jets and spent time on temporary active duty at the fuel farms. He also traveled from the Middle East to France, Spain, Portugal, England and visited the Top Gun academy. Washington said his time in the service brought him pride every day and he is now on his healing journey. If you know a veteran you would like to nominate and showcase, email veterans@.
