A warm front is moving through Southeast Michigan, leading to several rounds of showers and thunderstorms forecast across the region. The main window for stronger storms arrives after 9 p.m. as a cold front approaches from the west, with storms expected to move northeastward at around 50 mph, reaching Southeast Michigan during the late evening and early overnight hours. These storms could produce strong winds and heavy rainfall, which could cause localized flooding and ponding on roads. The timing of these storms could impact evening plans, including the Detroit Pistons game at Little Caesars Arena. The worst weather should be over by midnight. However, conditions should improve on Friday, with temperatures expected to reach the 70s and the Detroit Red Wings hosting an afternoon game on Sunday.
