Brunswick resident Patricia Wagner has been named Educator of the Year by the board of Connecting for Kids, a group that provides resources, support and community to families with concerns about their child. The award was given to Wagner, a preschool teacher at Beach School in Rocky River who goes above and beyond as an educator for students with disabilities in her classroom. The group's mission is to support families who are worried about their children, whether it's autism, ADHD, anxiety, school or a hard time in life. Four Brunswick High School students demonstrated exceptional public speaking skills and ethical reasoning at the Brunswick Rotary Club 4-Way Test Speech Contest.
