The Kentucky resident, Regina, wrote that her father-in-law moved into her home after his wife died and has since spent heavily on her 54-year old girlfriend. She and her husband, who also mentioned the woman as a "gold digger," questioned how far their financial responsibility should go. Dave Ramsey, co-host of "The Ramsey Show," suggested that Regina and her family could draw clear boundaries if the spending continues. He also suggested that the father still has substantial savings and that his children can set clear boundaries while allowing him to make his own financial decisions.
