The 2026 NCAA ski championships will be held in Utah due to "insufficient snowfall and conditions" in Montana. The move required a significant preparation period, with Utah having just over three weeks to prepare for the championships. The Alpine events will take place at Spencer F. Eccles Olympic Mountain Center at Utah Olympic Park in Park City, and Nordic events will be at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center in Midway. This gives Utah a “home snow” advantage in the crucial meet of the year. The team has been dealing with injuries and illnesses throughout the year, but is showing signs of recovery ahead of the championship. Despite this, Colorado and Denver are expected to challenge the Utes, who have won five of the last six NCAAs.
