Former MLB reliever Jesse Chavez ready for new challenge as SF Giants’ bullpen coach

Former MLB reliever Jesse Chavez has been appointed as the San Francisco Giants' bullpen coach after an 18-year playing career. This comes after Chavez and Quentin Eberhardt formed a virtual friendship over Call of Duty, where they later met when Chavez was traded to the Chicago Cubs. The two continued gaming and their relationship grew stronger when Chavez joined the Chicago Athletic Club. Eebhardt and Tony Vitello, who worked together at Tennessee, were reunited in San Francisco this fall. Chavez, who had a journeyman career spanning nearly two decades, joins the Giants as their bullpen coach immediately after his retirement from baseball.
