Boston Dynamics has developed a new robotic DroneDog, combining Boston Dynamics' Spot quadruped with the Asylon PupPack security payload. The DroneDog can be used to patrol construction sites seven days a week, spotting security breaches and tracking assets without missing work. It also uses its trademark DogHouse, a ruggedized plastic shell that protects the robot from the elements while it charges its batteries. Asylon claims that DroneDogs have already completed over 250,000 automated security missions across commercial and critical infrastructure sites and have covered over 150,000 miles in real world operations. The new DroneDog and DogHouse combo is expected to carry a sticker price well over $150,000.
