Linde, a manufacturer and engineering firm that supplies industrial gases, has consistently outperformed its peers in Q1, with revenue increasing by slightly over 8% compared to the previous year. The company's adjusted earnings per share rose more than 9% year over year to $4.33, exceeding the $5.26 expected. This success was attributed to year-over-year sales growth across all of Linde's key end markets and operating regions. Sales for the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa also increased by 10% and 11% respectively. Despite a slightly lower operating profit margin, Linde has shown its ability to grow earnings in any economic environment. The firm's price target has been raised to $550 from $540.
