Francisco Domenech Fernández, the La Fortaleza Chief of Staff, has defended his actions in a 64-page response to the Puerto Rico Senate, following an unprecedented interpellation and more than 200 follow-up questions. The questions, which focused on whether Domenezch improperly influenced government contracting processes involving companies that were once clients of Politank Corp, were particularly relevant. Domenezche accused lawmakers of creating confusion and damaging his reputation and the administration of Gov. Jenniffer González Colón. He also denied allegations that he or outside consultants influenced the Department of Education or the Central Office for Recovery, Reconstruction and Resiliency (COR3).
