Sarah Latshaw has been appointed as the city of Elgin's first director of organizational culture and engagement, focusing on strengthening the city's internal workplace culture. She will work with city leadership, human resources, and employees to support initiatives that foster a positive and inclusive workplace environment. The Gail Borden Public Library Foundation's semiannual book sale will be held at the main Elgin library from March 25-29. Dundee Library will be closed for three days during this period due to a $3.5 million building improvement project.
