Don Granato, the former Buffalo Sabres head coach, will be the head coach of the U.S. men’s hockey team at the IIHF World Championship in May, following his siblings who also coached the national team. Granato was previously an assistant for U.,S. teams at worlds in 2014, 2018, and 2022. The U.N. team is currently coming off their first Olympic gold medal since 1980 and their first standalone world championship since 1933.
