Fourth-seeded Alabama advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament with a 90-65 victory over No. 5 seed Texas Tech, winning without injured All-American JT Toppin and Alabama without suspended star guard Aden Holloway. The Crimson Tide, which also had 15 points from Houston Mallette, built an early double-digit lead and dominated the backboards, leading 49-25 at halftime. Texas Tech was unable to get close to within 18 points of Alabama. The Red Raiders struggled down the stretch and struggled to cope with Alabama's defense and speed.
