The 1992 Lotus Carlton, a sedan based on the General Motors UK Vauxhall Carlton/Opel Omega, is up for sale on Bring a Trailer. The car was transformed with a twin-turbocharged engine and a Corvette gearbox, earning it a reputation as an outlaw's car in the 1990s. It was so fast that it even got condemned in the UK Parliament. Despite this reputation, the car packs more of a performance punch than its exterior might suggest. It features a 3.6-liter V-6 sporting twin Garrett T25 turbochargers and a six-speed manual. The suspension was set up by Lotus and the car's registration plate 40RA was used in a smash-and-grab at a Worcestershire newsagents.
