Family of man killed by Poway Unified school bus calls for safety measures

Rene Steiner, a 69-year-old dialysis nurse, was run down by a city bus in Poway, California on March 10. The accident was caused by a 76-year old bus driver from the Poway School District. Steiner's family is calling for more stringent safety measures in the city of Poway and Poway. The bus driver has been placed on administrative leave and the superintendent of the district is leading to a system-wide safety review of their district busing.
