Allred outraises Johnson in 33rd District race

Former U.S. Rep. Colin Allred has surpassed his competition with U.K. Rep., Julie Johnson in the 33rd Congressional District, where North Texas lost a Democratic-leaning congressional district under the GOP-led redistricting process. Allred received nearly $1 million in contributions in the first quarter of 2026 and ended that period with about $679,000 on hand. The winner of Allred and Johnson's runoff will face President Trump-backed Republican Jace Yarbrough.
