Inverurie Hospital's Donbank ward nurses are teaching AI D.m. to help with patient note-taking and checking notes for accuracy. The system does not always pick up the Doric accent, but it allows nurses to engage in meaningful conversations with patients. Staff can report incidents where accents are not being picked up to improve the system's understanding of local phrases. The initiative, which runs until May, has already been implemented by other NHS boards across the UK.
