Europe—not US—first to authorize Moderna's combo mRNA flu-COVID vaccine

The European Commission has approved Moderna's mRNA-based combination vaccine, mCOMBRIAX, which combines the two respiratory viruses in a single dose, making it the world's first authorized combination shot. The decision follows a positive review by a key European Medicines Agency committee. The vaccine was approved based on findings from a Phase III clinical trial involving around 4,000 adults.
