Google has removed the camera bump from its Pixel 10a smartphone, making it a flat phone that lies completely on surfaces. This is a departure from the trend of larger camera bumps, which often create usability issues. The phone's 6.3-inch screen is now brighter at 3,000 nits, and Google is using the Actua series of screens used with other Pixel 10 series devices to make it more usable in bright conditions. The 10a also has a larger battery of 5,100 mAh, compared to 4,970 mAh on the base Pixel 10. The device uses the Tensor G4 chip, which was also used in the Pixel 9a, and can't run the updated Gemini Nano model. However, it has fewer on-device AI features than the Pixel 10A series.
