Former Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif. Michael Mandel is under investigation in Los Angeles over allegations of sexual misconduct, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney, Nathan Hochman. The investigation was prompted by a new allegation of sexual assault made against Swallwell, which alleges that he offered her connections and raped her in 2018. The Sex Crimes Division has been assigned to assist in the investigation. Despite these allegations, Swallall has denied any wrongdoing or assault. His attorney, Sara Azari, called the allegations an attempt to smear him.
