A man from Floral City, 37-year-old William Michael Larsen, has been arrested following a violent night of incidents involving arson and a fatal stabbing. The investigation began on April 7, when deputies responded to a house fire and then reports surfaced that Larsen allegedly stabbed a resident who tried to extinguish the flames when he allegedly stabbed him. After a thorough search, Larsen's vehicle was found abandoned in a wooded area near Inverness and subsequent reports of a man matching his description were received. He is now facing multiple felony charges, including arson and first-degree premeditated murder.
