A United Airlines flight from Chicago to LaGuardia was diverted to Pittsburgh due to a potential bomb threat. The pilots heard a beeping noise and decided to divert the flight. The plane landed at Pittsburgh International Airport at 11:45 a.m. The 159 passengers and 6 crew members exited the plane safely and no injuries were reported. The Pittsburgh FBI and Allegheny County Bomb Squad conducted a thorough sweep of the aircraft, passengers and luggage, but no bombs were found. The incident was cleared and passengers were transferred to an alternate flight to La Guardia.
