Kane County teacher receives award for work in adult education

Elizabeth "Libby" Button, a Kane County teacher and high school librarian, has been recognized for her work in adult education. Since 2021, she has helped dozens of students earn their diplomas. She believes adult education is about giving people a second chance at something that appears out of reach. For her, seeing their progress and their success has been inspiring. Her personal connection and dedication to the program make her a standout, according to Kane County School District leaders.
