Steven Lamont Phillips, a 56-year-old man, has been arrested for aggravated child neglect and unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon. He allegedly fell asleep with a pistol in his pocket after playing with his son and woke up with the sound of gunfire. The child is currently in a critical condition at a hospital.
