Three-time Emmy winner Judd Apatow is producing a documentary about the founder of Eels, Mark Oliver Everett, about his struggles with mental health and music. The documentary, "The Way I Was Made: The Story of a Man Called E," will be produced by Robert Schwartzman and directed by Gus Black. This is part of a series of rock and alternative rock docs from Utopia Originals, following Meet Me in the Bathroom, Hung Up on a Dream: The Zombies Documentary, and Pavements. Eels’ music has been lauded by stars such as Tom Waits and Pete Townshend, with their catalog spanning 15 studio albums.
