Israeli developer of electrochemical direct air capture technology, RepAir Carbon, has opened a European office in Luxembourg. The company's technology uses 70% less energy than conventional methods and has signed with Shell, Mitsubishi, and C-Questra. The expansion will be led by Jean-Philippe Hiegel, VP Strategy & Growth, who previously worked at Northern Lights in Norway. RepAir's solid-state electrochemical system captures CO₂ at concentrations below 5, consuming 70% lesser energy than traditional methods. The Luxembourg office aligns RepAir directly with the EU’s regulatory pipeline and follows a $15 million Series A extension raised in April 2025.
