Akron man sentenced in Field House Lounge shooting

Jakel Blackwell, 22, has been sentenced to 16 to 18.5 years in prison for shooting multiple patrons at the Field House Lounge in 2025. The shooting occurred during a physical altercation and resulted in multiple injuries to three innocent patrons. Following pleading no contest last month, police received a tip identifying the suspect.
