'I'm Unique': Booted Rep Dan Crenshaw Tells Margaret Brennan 'Misinformation' Played Role In Stunning Loss

Outgoing Republican Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw was defeated in a major upset in the March 3 GOP primary by 15 percentage points. The losing election was seen as a significant upset by Republican Texas State Rep. Steve Toth, who ran to Crenhaw's right. Crenshaw, who had been the target of online smears and conspiracies for a long time, clarified his comments on "Face the Nation" to clarify his earlier post-election comments blaming a culture of misinformation for his repudiation. He also accused Democrats of being partly to blame for the alleged misinformation against him. The lawmaker's district is a safe GOP seat and under its newly redrawn lines, voted for President Donald Trump by 23 points in the 2024 election.
