Business owner Debbie Self is struggling to recover from the UPS plane crash that destroyed her business, Stooges Bar & Grill in Louisville, several months after the deadly plane crash. The crash occurred on November 4, 2025, about 100 yards from the back door of the restaurant. Despite maintaining 44 employees for two months, Self had to let them go and has lost months of revenue and does not know when or if she will be able to reopen. The restaurant now feels like a ghost town due to extensive damage from the ash, $150,000 worth of food spoiled and mold growing in the walk-ins. Despite renovations being completed, Self is unsure about the future of the business. She and her late husband built the business from the ground up and is frustrated with the lack of assistance from the city or UPS.
