Almost 40 new unicorns have been announced this year, with more startups becoming more successful every month. TechCrunch tracked down the VC-backed startups that became unicorns using data from Crunchbase and PitchBook. While most are AI-related, many are focused on other industries like health care and a few crypto companies. Positron, a startup founded in 2023, has raised over $300 million in funding to date from investors like Valor Equity Partners and Jump Trading. Skyryse, a semi-automated flight operating system, has also raised over €540 million. Other notable startups include TMM Labs, Lunar Energy, and Goodfire.
