’The View’s co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, has urged President Donald Trump to build a new hotel with a large ballroom following the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner shooting. This follows the death of Trump and members of the Cabinet at the Hilton in Washington, DC. Goldberg suggested that a new building could be built so the WHCA no longer need to use the Hilton for future events. She also mentioned that Trump had previously ordered the demolition of the Whitehouse's East Wing in order to create a new ballroom for presidential events. Many Republican lawmakers have supported the construction of a White House ballroom after the shooting.
