A Bronx firebug, Daniel Santana, has been charged with murder in the May 6 arson that killed three people, including the elderly owner of the building. The fire started at an apartment building with a ground-floor deli in Mott Haven, killing Oreste De Leon, 70, and two others. DeLeon used his last moments to save another building resident, Chino, who was hit in a back bedroom. The remains of a third victim were removed from the wreckage later in the week. Santana allegedly used accelerant to douse the building and was ordered held without bail during his arraignment.
