Royce Lewis, the former No. 1 pick in the 2017 draft, has been trying to become a significant player for the Twins, despite his grand slam success. Lewis, who has been criticized for his lacklustre performance in spring training, has made several notable plays in the field, including four assists in six innings against Atlanta and two strong plays against Atlanta. Despite his impressive spring training performance, Lewis has yet to prove his high draft status and is expected to perform well at the plate. He has been struggling to rediscover his swing and has worked with a Houston-based hitting coach during the offseason to improve his game. Despite this, he appears ready to take his game to another level. The Twins baseball 2026 begins on Thursday.
