David E. Kelley, the showrunner of the Apple TV series based on Rufi Thorpe's 2024 novel, revealed that Hooters played a significant role in securing Michelle Pfeiffer's role in the adaptation of the book. Kelley suggested that the character of Shyanne, a former Hooters waitress who shares daughter Margo with ex-pro wrestler Jinx, could be cast in the role. This marks the first time the couple has worked together.
