A plane crash at LaGuardia Airport, New York City's second-largest airport, killed both pilots and injured dozens of passengers. The collision occurred shortly after landing on one of the airport's runways, causing a temporary closure. The remaining passengers and crew survived the crash. The incident occurred during which an Air Canada flight from Montreal collided with a Port Authority fire rescue truck, which was crossing the runway to attend to an emergency on another plane. The air traffic control team admitted to "mislating" during the incident, but maintained that they did the best they could.
