Man found near Vallejo railroad tracks ruled homicide after autopsy

A man was found dead near railroad tracks behind the Vallejo Police Department on Monday afternoon. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and detectives with the police department's investigative division took over the case. An autopsy revealed that the victim had sustained at least one gunshot wound. This is the first homicide in 2026 for the city.
