The Ink Factory has expanded the supporting cast for its Chinese-language series, "The Night Manager," by adding six cast members and two special appearances. The production is set to premiere on Youku in late 2026. The casting includes Michael Dao, Frederick Lee, George Au, Alan Luk, Justin Chu and Elizabeth Tang, Carl Ng and Amy Lo. The previously announced leads, Eddie Peng and Sean Lau, Isabella Leong, and Carman Lee as ICAC investigator Angela Fok, are now joined by Michael Ng. The project allows established actors to showcase their roles and allows for creative exploration of the novel's world. The series was shot across Hong Kong, Macau, and Bangkok, transposing le Carré’s espionage framework into contemporary Asian setting.
