Head to this park to see a surprise poppy bloom

The Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve has experienced a surprise bloom of poppies, typically lasting from March to mid-April. The park's volunteers believe the heavy rain in February caused additional plants to sprout. Despite not reaching full super-bloom this year, there were more flowers to see than the previous year. The reserve is encouraging visitors to enjoy the flowers, but keep watch for rattlesnakes.
