Motorcyclists in Nevada are dying in crashes at an increasing rate, with motorcyclists 27 times more likely to die in a crash than passengers in a car. The state recorded 83 motorcycle fatalities in 2024 and another 83 in 2025, according to AAA Nevada. Motorcycle deaths in Nevada have accounted for 30% of all traffic fatalities since Jan. 1. Motorbike specialist, Russty Scott, teaches both beginner and experienced riders at the College of Southern Nevada and warns that many of the most serious collisions can be prevented with better awareness from both riders and drivers. He also highlights the difficulty of visibility for riders on motorcycles or smaller vehicles, particularly on smaller vehicles.
