A report by the Colorado Chamber Foundation has found that major companies are increasingly leaving Colorado, shrinking their footprint or discontinuing it for expansion or relocation, costing the state at least 13,600 jobs. The study, which uses publicly available data, found that at least 98 companies have relocated or discontinued from Colorado, including 27 in 2025 alone. The losses include well-paying jobs, community investments and talent. Texas, California, Arizona and North Carolina are the top destinations for Colorado companies. The chamber argues that regulations, particularly environmental and labor force restrictions, are driving companies out of state. The Polis administration disagrees with the report, arguing that it doesn't provide a full picture.
