Suspect in 2023 San Antonio murder found in Oklahoma, extradition underway, officials say

Michael Hernandez, the suspect accused of murdering Michael Ray Zepeda in 2023, has been arrested in Oklahoma after failing to appear at a court hearing and leaving Texas. The Bexar County District Attorney's Office stated that Hernandez was located and arrested last week in Oklahoma. The extradition process is currently underway. The shooting took place at an apartment complex on the Southeast Side of San Antonio. The DA's office stated that after Hernandez was indicted in August 2024, he was arrested again in relation to the warrant.
